A new Strategic Member, Edmonton International Airport, joined and additionally was confirmed as the sixth and final board member of Pharma.Aero.

Myron Keehn, VP Commercial Development said: “Joining the Pharma.Aero network will strengthen our airport’s position on the global stage. It will guarantee global pharma customers that EIA will always maintain the highest standards for handling temperature controlled products. That Pharma.Aero guarantee will enable us to connect with global pharma manufactures and leaders in the pharmaceutical transportation sector.”

Together with Trevor Caswell, Account Manager, Cargo Demand & Resource Sector EIA, the current Board of Directors consists of Nathan De Valck (Brussels Airport Company) as Chairman, Jaisey Yip (Changi Airport Group) as Vice-Chairman, Bruno Guella (MVD Free Airport) as Treasurer, Jeremy Mitchell (Sharjah Airport Authority) as Director and Debby Mattys (MSD / Merck & Co, Inc.) as Director. The organization recently expanded not only the Board of Directors and the membership, but also approved a full office support structure, by installing Sonja Jaspers as the permanent administration support contact. This investment will improve daily membership care, the administrative follow-up and the external and internal communication follow-up.

Next to that, Pharma.Aero also officially welcomed two more Full Members: Cathay Pacific  and Cairo Airport Cargo Community Cargolinx. Cathay Pacific showed already a lot of interest in the different projects of Pharma.Aero and therefore we are convinced having Cathay Pacific on board will further stimulate several exciting projects of our association. Nelson Chin stated “This collaborative approach with the pharmaceutical industry undoubtedly boosts Hong Kong’s reputation as a world-class hub for the handling of these high-value and time-sensitive products. As Hong Kong’s home airline, Cathay Pacific is working closely with Airport Authority Hong Kong to develop a pharma ‘corridor’ to connect airport members of Phama.Aero and provide customers with a superior service.”

And last but not least: CACC Cargolinx is happy to announce joining the Pharma.Aero community as the first and only CEIV Pharma certified terminal in Africa, where we extend the utmost services to our partners within our >9,000 sqm temperature-controlled terminals based in CAI. Having manufactured Coolinx, our customized cool dollies, we guarantee an uninterrupted cool-chain for our pharmaceutical multinational clients, contracted carriers and all stakeholders involved. By joining the Pharma.Aero community, we are looking forward to contributing to the innovation and awareness creation of the global cool-chain management.
