The Day After COVID-19: How Collaboration Can Prepare us for the Impact

Pharma.Aero organized a successful inaugural webinar: COVID-19 seen through the glasses of global opinion leaders of the Life Science and MedTec industry and experts of the airfreight industry on 7th May. Global pharma players and the airfreight industry got together in a live webinar hosted by Pharma.Aero to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has created havoc in the supply chain, on the life sciences and MedTec sectors. This was the first in a series of three webinars that Pharma.Aero has planned in collaboration with The STAT Trade Times to address the current pandemic. This live session was well attended by a large number of pharma shippers, freight forwarders, integrators, airports, airlines, ground handlers, solution providers and industry organisations like IATA, TIACA and aircraft manufacturers.

The successful first webinar will be succeeded by the second webinar titled “The Day After COVID-19: How Collaboration Can Prepare us for the Impact” on May 28th. Global opinion leaders including Ruud Vander Geer of MSD, Rita O’Sullivan of Zoetis and Andrea Grüber of IATA will zoom into the short and mid-term scenarios, where collaboration between air cargo and the Life Science and MedTec industry will be the central focus of the discussions.

The first webinar already highlighted the importance of quality standards and the need for extensive collaboration during this challenging period. The presentations will immediately continue with a roundtable discussion led by Nathan De Valck, Chairman of Pharma.Aero and Brussels Airport Company, alongside with Nina Heinz of DHL Global Forwarding and Christine Richard of Amerijet.

The webinar is scheduled from 1 to 2.30 pm CET on May 28th. Each webinar will be followed by an executive summary that will be shared on the Pharma.Aero website, on LinkedIn and via the STAT Times network.
