Pharma.Aero and Smart Freight Centre (SFC) have formalised their cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a structured framework for collaboration across pharmaceutical logistics and freight sustainability.
The agreement creates the basis for enhanced knowledge exchange and coordinated initiatives, with a focus on advancing standards, processes, and practical alignment in pharmaceutical air freight.
By connecting Pharma.Aero’s cross-industry platform with Smart Freight Centre’s expertise in emissions measurement and best-practice frameworks, the partnership seeks to improve how sustainability considerations are integrated into pharmaceutical air cargo operations, while ensuring that sector-specific requirements are properly reflected in relevant standards.
Smart Freight Centre (SFC) is a globally active non-profit organization for climate action in the freight sector. Their goal is to mobilize the global logistics ecosystem, in particular members and partners, in tracking and reducing its greenhouse gas emission, to achieve a zero-emission global logistics sector by 2050 or earlier.
