IOT Devices & Platforms

Relevance

The project addresses the growing need for smarter, more resilient pharmaceutical supply chains by leveraging IoT and AI technologies. As the industry evolves, integrating predictive insights and end-to-end visibility is essential to proactively manage risks, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability. This approach ensures the project remains highly relevant to current industry demands for transparency, efficiency, and adaptability in Life Science & Healthcare Logistics.

Goal

The project will build upon existing work carried out by Pharma.Aero through the project “Innovation in Motion”. Here the applicability of next-generation digital technologies was explored, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain Technology, big data analytics with applicability to end-to-end supply chain of life science and MEDtech industries. The primary goal of this new project “IoT Devices and Platforms in the Life Science & Healthcare Logistics Sector” is to further explore and seek to leverage the use of next-generation IoT devices to improve Life Science & Healthcare Logistics.

Specific Objectives

The three core WPs will follow sequentially from

  • Diagnosis and needs assessment in WP1
  • Collection of use cases in WP2
  • Awareness and training in WP3

Additionally, regular activities of communication and dissemination will be carried out.
