Trevor Caswell

Edmonton International Airport

As Chair of the Pharma.Aero Board of Directors, Trevor’s role is focused on the External representation of the organisation as well as Membership and Organisational Management.

In his position as Manager, Demand & Product Development (Cargo) at Edmonton International Airport, he is responsible for effectively executing air service development priorities, while cultivating strong relationships with the freight forwarder and business community, airline partners and key stakeholders at the airport.  Trevor has held various roles in aviation for over 20 years, including VP of Airport Services, Director and Manager roles.  Trevor led Edmonton International Airport (EIA) to be the first IATA CEIV Certified Community Airport in Canada and third in North America.

Bruno Guella

Treasurer
Latin America Cargo City

In his role as Treasurer of the Pharma.Aero Board of Directors, Bruno’s responsibilities are focused on finance, budget control, strategy planning and KPI monitoring.
Managing Director of Latin America Cargo City, General Manager at TCU (Uruguay Cargo Terminal – Montevideo Airport), and Cargo Corporate Director at Corporacion America, a holding that operates more than 50 airports across Latin America and Europe. He is also member of the Board of Directors at INALOG – National Logistics Institute in Uruguay.

Industrial Engineer Graduated in Business Administration and Diploma in Logistics (USA), before his current assignments Bruno has been Operations and Commercial manager in logistics services companies, having designed and successfully implemented regional distribution centers for global companies. He has also served as consultant to multinational organizations (private and public sector) in Strategic Planning and Management Control Systems.

Samuel Speltdoorn

Brussels Airport

In his role as Cargo Business Development Manager at Brussels Airport Company, Samuel is responsible for all pharma & life sciences developments at BRUcargo. He joined the company in early 2020, and has been closely involved with a multitude of Pharma.Aero projects.
Prior to that Samuel took on multiple cargo commercial positions within Virgin Atlantic, having graduated from Cranfield University with an MSc. in Air Transport Management.

Gergely Szorcsik

Zoetis

Gergely is a logistics lead with an 18-year background in warehousing, transportation, and cold chain management in the pharmaceutical industry.

A Hungarian, living in Belgium since 2014 and working for Zoetis as a Director, Global Distribution.  

In his role, he is responsible for both setting the strategy and ensuring world-class execution for all Global Air and Ocean activities and European road transportation. Gergely and his team work together with Zoetis’s partner freight forwarders to deliver consistently reliable service and strive to continuously improve the quality of the services to minimise the risk of in-transit temperature excursions.  

Frank Van Gelder

Consultant, Secretary General
Pharma.Aero

In his role as Secretary General at Pharma.Aero, Frank contributes to all functions of the Pharma.Aero office by managing contacts, maintaining the internal working of the organisation and developing working methodologies.

He supports and develops the external growth of the organisation and he manages partnerships.

As a senior consultant, Frank has been active in different industries related to healthcare, ATMP and supply chain for Life Science and Medtech Industry where he guided numerous projects related to critical supply chains, IT health applications and medical educational projects.

He is especially involved in digital solutions increasing transparency and recently in Immersive Learning developments through Virtual Reality Experiences. He is also the chairman of the Innovation & Sustainability Steering Committee of Air Cargo Belgium at Brussels Airport. Apart from being a fervent chef and stargazer, he is a guest teacher at different universities and is a strong believer of disruptive and innovative approaches in which he favors training and education as keys to success.

Aleksandra Jovic

Consultant, Back Office
Pharma.Aero

As a consultant for the Back Office, Aleksandra’s role focuses on setting out – together with the Secretary General – and streamlining all functions of the Pharma.Aero back office: member farming, finance, sponsorships, events, as well as assists the Board of Directors in the daily management of the association. Aleksandra has a Bachelor´s Degree in Business English Language and a Postgraduate Degree in Translation.

Sara Van Lerberghe

Consultant, Projects
Pharma.Aero

In her role as Project Coordinator at Pharma.Aero, Sara contributes to the success of the projects by assisting and coordinating each of them from their initial development through their implementation. She is the person who will help the puzzle pieces fit together with her tenacious and proactive behavior towards both internal and external projects members. After completing a Master in Labor Sciences, Sara has experienced different roles in the Human Resources field and in the coordination of projects organized in the pharmaceutical, life-sciences and medical industries. Her lifestyle and personal interest in art and culture have developed a creative mind that she is keen to use in all tasks she is assigned for. She believes that everything in life (both personal and professional) should be handled and lead with passion and positiveness.

Milton De La Paz

Vice President of Airline Relations and Cargo
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Milton De La Paz was elected on behalf of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to represent the
Airports segment in Pharma.Aero’s Advisory Board for 2025.
As Vice President of Airline Relations and Cargo at DFW International Airport, Milton directs the airport’s
primary business goal to grow the core business of domestic and international passenger and cargo
airline service. He also leads efforts to optimize business performance with all passenger and cargo
airline partners at DFW.
Milton is an accomplished senior commercial executive with more than 30 years of airline experience in
the aviation and commercial airlines industry. He is responsible for the execution of DFW Airport’s short-
and long-range new air service strategies and for the airport’s strategy to retain and grow existing airline
service. He also leads DFW’s air cargo business development strategy including new air cargo route
development initiatives, facilities and infrastructure assessment and DFW air cargo community
engagement.

Miguel Rodriguez

Qatar Airways Cargo

Rashmi was elected as representative of the Airlines segment on our Advisory Board. At Qatar Airways, she is the Manager of Climate Control Product – Pharma, responsible for the QR Pharma product. Her experience spans over two decades in the airline cargo industry.

Rashmi started with the passenger divisions at KLM and Jet Airways in India, before moving on to the cargo, where she has dedicated the last 21 years of her career.  At Qatar Airways Cargo, Rashmi is part of the wider Cargo team of product specialists involved in product design & development, quality management, training, commercial strategy, operational synergy & customer relationships.

Rashmi is a very keen proponent of collaborative partnerships to enhance co-working and improve industry standards in a rapidly evolving global environment.

Alice Iacobescu

Consultant, Communication
Pharma.Aero

Alice is a journalist with over 25 years of experience reporting for prestigious media organizations, including the BBC World Service in London. 

In 2022, Alice opened a new professional chapter and dedicated herself to creating and implementing online communication and education projects. She joined our Pharma.Aero team, as a communication consultant, to spread the word about our Pharma.Aero global community, projects and events.

Alice is a Romanian, currently living in Bucharest. She is a theatre enthusiast, loves classical music and enjoys travelling.

Roland Yap

Novartis

Dr Roland Yap was elected as representative of the Life Science Manufacturers segment in our Advisory Board. At Novartis, he is Regional Head (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa) for Policy, Partnership and Healthcare Systems for Radioligand Therapy and Nuclear Medicine. Throughout his extensive career of over 28 years, Roland has held various senior leadership and functional roles to drive growth in aviation, capital, diplomacy (ASEAN & EU), energy, digital, healthcare (pharmaceuticals and medical devices), infrastructure, power & water, oil & gas, transportation at General Electric, Merck KGaA, Medtronic, Novartis etc.

Roland graduated with a Doctor of Education with Distinction from Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM, Spain). In addition, he earned 5 Master’s degrees (Criminology, Training & Development, Public Policy & Management, Business and Corporate Communication, and Executive Master in Leadership, Strategy & Innovation) and completed the Sustainability Executive Programs with Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford University (USA) and Oxford University (UK); Health & Wellness Executive Program and the Advanced Leadership Program respectively with Harvard Medical School and Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University; Technology Acceleration Program with Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (USA); and the Chief of Staff Executive Program with the AACSB-accredited Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

Roland is a Certified M&A Professional, M&A Expert and Certified Post-Merger Integration Expert. He serves as Adjunct Professor at AIM and the Institute of Mergers, Acquisitions, and Alliances (IMAA).

Zhong Yao Liew
(representing Lim Ching Kiat)

Changi Airport Group

As Vice-Chair of the Pharma.Aero Board of Directors, Zhong Yao’s role is focused on project management and external representation of the association.

As Head of Cargo & Logistics Development team at Changi Airport, Zhong Yao is responsible for strategy formulation and business development of the airport’s air cargo business, as well as securing the future development of Changi’s air cargo hub. He manages a team to anchor air cargo connectivity and capacity, as well as to develop Singapore’s handling capabilities of key cargo verticals including but not restricted to pharmaceuticals, perishables and e-commerce.

Zhong Yao has held various roles in the aviation industry over the last 18 years, including network planning, revenue management, airport marketing and consultancy. During his free time, Zhong Yao enjoys reading and traveling.
