PRESS RELEASE: Pharma.Aero FORMS ADVISORY BOARD TO STAY AT THE FOREFRONT OF PHARMA AIR TRANSPORTATION

BRUSSELS, 27 October 2021

Pharma.Aero forms an Advisory Board to stay at the forefront of pharma air transportation

Pharma.Aero has established an Advisory Board consisting of four industry experts among its Full Members, each representing different segment of the air cargo supply chain: Airlines, Airports, Freight Forwarders and Ground Handlers. The newly appointed Advisory Board Members are:

  1. AirBridgeCargo Airlines (part of Volga-Dnepr Group), Ms. Yulia Celetaria, Global Healthcare Director
  2. BDP International, Ms. Simona Ravera, Director of Sales EMEA, LifeScience and Healthcare
  3. Cargo Service Center India, Mr. Tushar Jani, Group Chairman
  4. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Mr. Milton De La Paz, Vice President Airline Relations and Cargo Business Development

“The aim of forming the Advisory Board is to maintain a balanced voice from our members, who represent all segments across the pharma air cargo supply chain.  The Advisory Board will help the organisation keep a 360° view on industry trends and supply chain innovation related to pharma and life sciences”, said Nathan De Valck, Chairman, Pharma.Aero.

The Advisory Board will work alongside with Pharma.Aero’s Board of Directors, taking part in regular meetings to discuss project priorities and new initiatives. Each Advisory Board member’s term is one year and each position is re-opened to all Full Members on a yearly basis.

“With collaboration being one of the main driving forces to advance in logistics sector, Pharma.Aero has moved in the right direction by bringing together all the healthcare stakeholders. The Advisory Board will be an excellent platform to connect, to share insights and, most importantly, to be heard with respective actions taken afterward aimed at the enhancement of pharma logistics. This will support our life-saving logistics efforts across the globe and allow us to shape more dedicated solutions for our customers”, highlighted Yulia Celetaria, Global Healthcare Director, AirBridgeCargo Airlines (part of Volga-Dnepr Group).

Simona Ravera, Director of Sales EMEA, LifeScience and Healthcare, BDP International defined her new role within the Pharma.Aero Advisory Board, “We are committed to promote neutrally, a two-way exchange of information between LifeSciences & Healthcare manufacturers and logistics operators on a technical level, by working jointly to share best practices and implement logistics service models of higher quality standards.”

Tushar Jani, Group Chairman, Cargo Service Center India added, “Covid has resulted in long-lasting impact to our industry. Pharma is the lifeline and having resilient pharma supply chains in distributing these essential medical supplies will help save lives and livelihoods. Looking ahead, with fast-evolving pharma research and developments, pharma supply chains will need to demonstrate higher agility and innovation to meet these changing demands. In this regard, Pharma.Aero is the right conversant platform for all stakeholders to come together and achieve the new milestones.”

“In representing Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, a CEIV pharma certified community airport, I recognize the well-being of patients is subject to how the integrity of each pharma shipment is being maintained throughout the supply chain. Air cargo plays a critical role in this process, with research showing temperature excursions are most vulnerable at airports, and we are consistently looking for opportunities to improve air transportation for pharma. As a new member of Pharma.Aero’s Advisory Board, I am excited to collaborate with industry professionals who share our dedication to achieving excellence in pharma logistics and focus on developing a resilient supply chain in an uncertain future”, said Milton De La Paz, Vice President Airline Relations and Cargo Business Development, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
